Glenwood Foods, Greencastle PA

I am a frequent shopper of discount grocers and will review the big one in Newburg at some point.
Glenwood has some good deals on food that is in date, and many deals on out-of-date foods. They do carry some very old stock with expirations of 2008, some just a month or two old, but you can save a few bucks if careful. Onions are always cheaper there, as are potatoes. Deli meat is priced very close to Sunnyway.Sunnyway's deli and meat departments are hard to match for price and quality. If you crave coleslaw, macaroni salad, and need some ham, go to Sunnyway which is nearby.
It is worth giving Glenwood  a visit, however you must watch the cashier, especially the bearded old guy, he will rip you off. I don't think it is intentional, but it is consistent. I like accurracy at the cash register. I know from experience that mistakes are easily made.
Distressed and salvage groceries can save you big bucks if watch the dates, don't mind a crushed carton, and don't plan to store the items. Watch the cashier as well. Glenwwod is easily located on Grindstone Hill Road near the new Sheetz.
